Pregnancy Wellbeing Toolkit

The months of pregnancy give you an opportunity to prioritise yourself, your needs, your health and wellbeing. We understand how beneficial self-care is to both you and your growing baby. We recognise how difficult it can be to know where to start and know what will make a real difference. 

With this in mind we have developed our Pregnancy Wellbeing Toolkit.  Our programme takes a holistic approach which includes a broad range of physical and emotional wellbeing tools that are well researched. To maximise the benefits these tools offer, we recommend using them throughout your pregnancy. We recommend starting this course as early as possible, ideally after 12 weeks in your pregnancy.

Whilst the focus of the content in this course is for pregnant women, most of the tools can be used by partners too.  In fact, if you are in a relationship, we encourage you to work through this course together. We recognise that pregnancy is a huge time of change, and learning to alleviate stress and worry during this time will definitely help the process, whilst improving communication and understanding of each others needs.

You will learn

  • Simple exercises to relieve common pregnancy aches and pains, including pelvic girdle pain
  • Gentle movements to support your pregnant body as it changes
  • Self-care practices to nurture yourself and connect with your pregnancy
  • How to manage anxiety in pregnancy
  • How to identify your strengths and feel more positive in your pregnancy
  • Breathing and relaxation techniques to calm and soothe
  • Grounding techniques to help you manage stress and overwhelm
  • How to create and use positive affirmations effectively
  • To explore your emotions and reframe negative thinking patterns into more positive habits
  • To get a handle on your inner critic and be kinder to yourself

Deep relaxation practices

Included in the toolkit are several deep relaxation practices that you can use throughout your pregnancy. They will allow you to experience the many benefits of relaxation. Bringing calm and stability in a time of great change. Plus, your baby will also enjoy a beautiful calm environment, supporting their healthy growth and development.

If you’re struggling to get a good nights sleep, these practices are the perfect thing to include in your bedtime routine. Or at anytime you wake during the night. Anxiety can be heightened at night and these practices will help you switch your mind off and drift back to sleep.
