Why work for us?
At New Life Classes, we believe parents should be given the tools, professional support and compassion to approach birth and parenting with confidence, especially if things donβt go to plan. Our vision is to eradicate feelings of failure, and positively impact postnatal depression rates in the UK.
To do this, we worked with a team of midwives, doctors and health professionals and developed a detailed, evidence-based antenatal course that looks at all aspects of birth, feeding and the early days with a newborn; offering parents lots of practical tips and coping strategies.
We provide
- Training
- A detailed teaching manual
- Ongoing support
- Opportunities for professional development.
Emma Scourse was one of the first midwives to work for us in 2016, here’s what she says about working for New Life Classes:
βI love teaching for New Life Classes. The courses include mums and dads, so I can teach new parents using evidence-based information at a good pace. The classes are fun and interactive, and the reunion after the babies are born is incredible β I love hearing the stories of how the information I provided in class helped parents through labour and the early days. New Life Classes enables a continuity of care I donβt often get to experience in my general midwifery work anymore. They give me the information, props, space and time to arm parents with the knowledge they need to make their own decisions around birth and the transition to parenthood. The team go above and beyond to make the company work well and to support me.β
